Q1)In the last line, what did the writer mean by suggesting that “he may have found more porcupines than rats?"

I think that the writer may think that Singapore defence force are divided into two groups which are rats and porcupines. Rats are for those who are scared and would scurry away at the sound of footsteps and are not brave enough to protect Singapore and raise their heads high. Porcupines are for those who are brave and strong enough to defend Singapore and warn those people who fails to protect the country and people who destroy it.

Q2) What’s worth giving up your life for?
I think what's worth giving up my life for is my loved ones, especially my parents. They have helped me throughtout my whole life and I am mostly proud of my mum. It is because she went through alot of pain just to give birth to me and kept feeding me when im a child. It is also important to treasure your loved ones deep inside your heart and never to forget about them. If you had caused a lot of troubles with your parents or other loved ones, you MUST not give up but continue with your life and continue to love them forever. When i grow up, I will treat my own family the same way as they treated me but with more care. I will also take care of them when they are old.
